Huawei has just launched its new Foldable Phone Huawei Mate X2, the successor to its Huawei Mate X. Huawei pokes us to ‘Imagine What Unfolds’ by giving off a ‘co-engineered with Laica’ vibes.

The Foldable is titled – “Huawei Mate X2”.

The foldable design part of the Huawei Mate X2 seems to be somewhat inspired (?) by the Galaxy Fold, to be honest, while there is no ignoring that Foldables are like this. And as always, the most significant pain in the as* – The Hinge of the foldable. Huawei has rightly put effort into the hinge of the X2 to make it buttery smooth.

  • Interior Display – 8 inches
  • Exterior Display – 6.45 inches

The approximate weight of the Huawei Mate X2 is 295 g (battery included). The difference in touch sampling rate between the interior and exterior display may disclose a slight difference between the two screens when put together.

  • CPU – Kirin 9000
  • GPU – Mali-G78
  • NPU included

The device will be running EMUI 11.0 based on Android 10 alongside a battery of 4,400 mAh.

What’s interesting is that we may see HarmonyOS in this device.

The device’s network boasts 5G, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, along with USB Type-C and USB 3.1 ports. The audio of the device may include a stereo speaker, which is questionable in terms of quality.

The device is expected to be available in China by the 25th of February, at the price point of $2,800.

Last but not least – The predecessor was pretty capable yet not welcomed outside China; what will happen to this one?

Huawei – The company behind Mate X2

The Huawei company was founded by Ren Zhengfei in 1987. Huawei is a mobile-focused company. Mainly focused on making phone. Huawei also expanded its business to include telecommunications networks. Huawei was at its peak in 2019. It was running great until in 2020 Google announced that they will not any business with Huawei. That means no android for Huawei. Slowly Huawei started to get out of the global market and started to go back to the Chinese market and now Huawei has almost vanished from the global market 😥. Why did you do this Google? A technological masterpiece vanished from the whole wide world. Now Huawei phones are available but not useable because it doesn’t have Google services. So it will be a big sacrifice for a user to keep using Huawei.

Huawei is still dominating the Chinese phone industry. We loved Huawei we will keep loving Huawei. It was a great phone company with the capability of doing wonders in the future.
