Samsung Galaxy F62 is going to start its sales from the 22nd of February, 2021 in India through online stores like Flipkart.
We are here to analyze the budget market at which the Samsung Galaxy F62 comes in to justify its price and see if it is really a #FullOnSpeedy device given its competitors from brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Redmi, POCO, Motorola, etc.
Samsung Galaxy F62 – A short introduction
Samsung Galaxy F62 is a mid-range device from Samsung that comes with a premium flagship processor made by Samsung, the powerful Exynos 9825, reportedly one of the best 20 Smartphone Processors out there.
Key Features: Exynos 9825 Processor + Samsung Galaxy M51 without the SD 730G (Sorry, not sorry)
Price: Rs. 23,999 (Base Variant)
So, we are taking the phones that come within the budget of Rs. 20,000 – Rs. 25,000.
The Competitors of Samsung Galaxy F62
We included 6 of the best smartphones in this range of price, and also included one Samsung Phone, the M51.
- Samsung Galaxy M51 – SD 730G Processor + 64 MP Quad Camera + 7,000 mAh
- Realme 7 Pro – SD 720G Processor + 64MP Quad Camera + 4,500 mAh (65w Super Dart Charging)
- Xiaomi Mi 10i – SD 750G Processor + 108 MP Quad Camera + 4,820 mAh
- Moto G 5G – SD 750G Processor + 48 MP Triple Camera + 5,000 mAh (Turbo Power Charging)
- Oppo F17 Pro – MediaTek Helio P95 Processor + 48 MP Quad Camera + 4,015 mAh (VOOC Charging 4.0)
- Vivo V20 – SD 720G Processor + 64 MP Triple Camera + 4,000 mAh (Flash Charging)
Note: We are not doing a review comparison here, as we do not have all the devices in hand and also, we are just news publishers. So, this will just be a quick processor, camera, battery, and software comparison.
Processors (according to benchmarks like AnTuTu and Geekbench):
Exynos 9825 > SD 750G > SD 730G/SD 720G > MediaTek Helio P95
Updated: Due to various reports from independent YouTubers and benchmark reports, the above ranking is not valid. The Exynos 9825 is obviously ahead of the rest when the benchmarks are done once, but when the benchmarks are done twice, thrice, and much more, the performance drops by more than 60%.
Peak Performance: Exynos 9825
Sustained Performance (More accurate to get better power): SD 750G
Subjective, but we still do not have any data for the camera samples of Galaxy F62. As soon as we get those in our hands, this section of this post will be updated.
Clear Winner: 7,000 mAh of the F62 + Processing Efficiency of Exynos 9825.
Updated: Due to various reports from independent YouTubers and battery drain tests, the above result is not valid.
New Winner: Samsung Galaxy M51.
Note: Some people may not need such a bulky battery; instead, they can opt-in for the 4,500 mAh of Realme 7 Pro alongside the 65W Charging. But, would you do so?
But geeks suggest that One UI is cleaner and smoother than the rest. So, we can put this:
One UI > Realme UI > MIUI > ColorOS > FunTouch OS
That being said, the winner here is Moto G 5G with the almost-stock android experience (They do have My UX on top).
Again, the software part is merely subjective though nobody would want something bloated with bloat wares and ads (Yeah, you got it. Me-You-I)
All the Smartphones listed will get an Android 11 Update.
Result: Moto G 5G
“Gen Z and millennial customers are power users and need a smartphone that is fast enough to live up with their lifestyle. With the Galaxy F62, we have done what has never been done before by redefining fast and furious speed and performance for our young consumers. For the first time ever, we have joined the flagship Exynos 9825 processor with an industry-leading 7000mAh battery. We believe this is a winning proposition and Galaxy F62 will become a benchmark for speed by enabling our consumers to destroy barriers and live life Full-on,”Aditya Babbar, Director, Mobile Business, Samsung India

Hopefully, this is going to be one of the best sellers from Samsung to date. The Flagship Processor in this budget build is going to be the game-changer, as critics suggest.
Updated: Though this is still going to be a best-seller, the reviews we are getting suggest that the chipset is not going to fulfill what people were expecting in the long run. Even then, for a power user, the Samsung Galaxy F62 is a good choice!
