We guess this means something like:
‘Nothing like it’, ‘Nothing can beat it’, however, only time will prove its true meaning.
In his tweets, he has confirmed this brand and launched it on Wednesday, the 27th of January, 2021.

Now, let’s go back a bit and start from Carl Pei.
The Back Story
Carl Pei, a Swedish Entrepreneur, founded OnePlus, and left it in September 2020 due to OnePlus gradually being not what it was meant to be. Since OnePlus pushed further in their attempts to miserably follow what other brother brands like Oppo (especially) and Vivo are doing, Pei found it disturbing and expressed in some interviews that he did not found OnePlus with that vision at all.

With the urge of doing something better, he decided to launch this new brand. And Pei did an amazing job raising the hype about this brand just with some word plays, and obviously, with his previous charisma he had shown with OnePlus phones.
From the beginning of this year, he constantly started tweeting about his new brand.
Carl had raised $7 Million for his brand and let’s take a look at some of his investors:

“Nothing’s mission is to remove barriers between people and technology to create a seamless digital future,” says Pei, Nothing’s founder and CEO, in a press release. “We believe that the best technology is beautiful, yet natural and intuitive to use. When sufficiently advanced, it should fade into the background and feel like nothing.”
Here are some quick facts about Nothing:
- It will be based on London
- The first line of products from Nothing will roll out in the first half of the year, 2021
- The Company will first focus on Simpler Categories and then connect multiple categories
- Nothing may focus on music and may manufacture headphones
Nothing has a great potential in its field already from what we can see and on top of that, the OnePlus idea getting another brilliant push by its co-founder? Outstanding!

“I kind of envision a grass field with people having a picnic and there’s no screen, there’s no laptop screen, there’s no phone screen, there’s no smartwatch screen, there’s no billboard screen,” Pei muses. “That’s kind of the end state.”
I guess you guys realize what his vision is pointing us towards. It is very futuristic and we could see it in to being after, let’s say, a couple of decades.
